About Us
The WCTS LPN Program is one of the longest operating nursing programs in the Northern & Central New Jersey area, providing nursing education for over 60 years to students from Eastern Pennsylvania and the following counties in New Jersey: Warren, Hunterdon, Morris, Essex, and Somerset. The legacy continues, as we give the opportunity to students annually from all backgrounds, levels of education, and experiences, giving them the foundation to graduate as a Licensed Practical Nurse in just 11 months! The 11-month program prepares students for the state board licensing exam (NCLEX-PN). Our diploma transfers to all RN programs & LPN to RN bridge programs as we continue to be a stepping-stone for students who continue their nursing education in the future while working full-time as an LPN. A cohort completes the program every rolling year from approximately the beginning of August to the end of June. The course is sequential, meaning the student and their cohort classmates complete the course in order, together, from start to finish. The student must pass each course to proceed onto the next course, with a grade of 75 or greater. The program is suitable to any applicant age 18+, with a valid high school diploma. The program is great for Certified Nurse’s Aides, Certified Medical Assistants, Patient Care Assistants, Emergency Medical Technicians, or other Ancillary Medical Personnel that desire to take the next step. The program is conducive for full time employees in non-medical lines of work with no experience or older adults making a career change. The program is appropriate for parents with young children, stay-at-home parents re-entering the workforce, or high school graduates who want to begin their career early in a technical atmosphere. We welcome anyone who has a desire to embrace the challenge and learn with passion.
Faculty Team
Our core classroom instructors and adjunct clinical instructors bring a wide variety of experience from many areas of the nursing field in the local community. This team provides nursing students with a robust educational experience. Many of our instructors are WCTS LPN Alumni and work as frontline nurses in the local hospital systems, school districts, or home healthcare networks. They are passionate about helping the next generation of nurses. All faculty are baccalaureate or masters prepared nurse advocates, leaders, and educators.

The program is sequential; each course must be completed and passed with a 75% or to move onto the next. The cohort completes each course together.

Requirements for Entry Process

- Must submit a valid High School Diploma or GED with application.
- Every applicant must take the proctored placement test (TEAS Exam) prior to determining acceptance. The required score for entry is 50 or above. The TEAS Exam is offered at our Classroom Location almost every Monday beginning in October except during the holiday weeks.

You will receive an Acceptance Letter from the Program Director once your application is reviewed by the team and will be notified of the date of the cohort Orientation held in the month of June 2026. Please be aware, per school institution policy, the deposit is non-refundable should your plans change.

Tuition
The cost of the entire 11-month program is $20,000 flat rate.
An initial deposit of $1,000 is made with the application to reserve your seat in the course. This deposit is non-refundable per institution policy. Therefore, the student then owes $19,000 at the start of the program.
4 Individual Payments are made throughout the course during specified quarters which must be paid on time per the payment plan of the institution’s Business Office.

Tuition Assistance Referrals
Contact Aimee Salmon, Director of Nursing, regarding contact info for organizations that may offer education grants in NJ or PA. By contacting these organizations, you may find out that you are eligible for some assistance through their application process. Warren County Technical School does not have any stake in determining your eligibility. We gladly accept grant money as a form of payment for your tuition. Otherwise, these are personal financial matters that must be completed outside of the school. Ask your workplace HR department about Tuition Reimbursement options. Some facilities and hospital networks offer tuition assistance for PT or FT workers. We do not fulfill Financial Aid, as we are operated by a public technical school, not an accredited college or university.
