The Warren County Technical School Licensed Practical Nursing Program is an 11 month program where upon completion you will receive a diploma in practical nursing. Graduates may then apply to the State Board of Nursing to sit for the NCLEX-PN examination for licensure as and LPN. There are 750 class hours and 750 clinical hours. Classes are scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:15pm to 10pm. There is an online component to supplement in class learning. At the end of the program there is a 3 day live review from the Advanced Technologies Institute that will help you to prepare for the NCLEX-PN examination.

Admission Requirements
High school diploma/ transcript or GED
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to clinical sites and class
Physical examination/ urine drug screen (Random drug testing may be done throughout the program)
Valid CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
Criminal background check
Copy of current immunizations (MMR, DPT, Tetanus booster in last 5 years, Varicella Immunization or titer, Hepatitis B series of 3 or a refusal of consent signed)
Negative PPD or X-ray if past positive
Proof of receiving an influenza immunization before going into clinical sites
Clinical Sites
Currently, our clinical experiences include: The House of Good Shepherd, Forest Manor Health Care, Hunterdon Developmental Center, Warren Haven and an observation rotation at St. Luke’s Warren Hospital. We also do a variety of community clinical experiences including: The Comfort Zone, physician’s offices, Wound care clinic, operating room, emergency room and the intensive care units.
