Warren Tech's Police Explorers, Post 2100, took time out of their summer schedules to give back to the community by working to eradicate distracted and impaired driving. The Explorers participated in Washington's National Night Out on August 1st to highlight the dangers of distracted and impaired driving to local residents.
Bob Wheatley, Law and Public Safety Instructor at Warren County Technical School coordinated the effort with the explorers. “It was a great night. The residents were out in force to enjoy the evening with law enforcement and the explorers were ready to share their knowledge”.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.
Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
