Admission Requirements

Thank you for your interest in the career and technical programs available at Warren County Technical School. Warren County Technical School offers a comprehensive high school education, athletics, and student life found at a traditional high school setting with the added focus of vocational and career training based on current industry standards.  

The following career programs are designed to prepare students for employment, post-secondary training, or college education required for their chosen field of study.  

Warren County Technical School seeks motivated students who have demonstrated academic, behavioral, and social growth over the course of their middle school years and have a strong interest in pursuing an education and training in one of our career programs. This growth will be measured through the examination of report card, test score, attendance, and discipline record data along with the review of a letter of recommendation provided by each applicant’s current school.  Additionally, the Warren County Technical School’s admissions team will learn more about each applicant through the submission of a personal essay and the interview process. Each interested student should express the reasons he or she desires to attend Warren Tech to pursue a career and technical education in a well written one to two page essay.  Finally, Warren County Technical School reserves the right to interview any student as part of the admissions process.  Warren County Technical School’s admissions team will contact applicants to schedule an interview.

After completing your student application, a parent must sign a statement of parental release, so that we may review your application.  Furthermore, each applicant must notify their current school of your intent to apply to Warren Tech. This will allow that each applicant to obtain the following required documentation to complete their application..

Required Documentation 

  • Grade Seven and Eight Report Cards
  • PARCC Scores
  • Complete Middle School Discipline Record
  • Signed Parental Release (Back Page of Application)
  • Letter of Recommendation from Guidance Counselor or Administrator Summarizing Student’s Overall Performance at the Middle School Level 
  • Letter of Recommendation from Teacher or Other Individual Familiar with the Student 
  • ssay Answering the Following Questions: Why do You Want to Attend Warren Tech? – AND – Why do you want to enroll in the career program you are choosing?
